Tips for election day

* Make sure you have a form of identification. This is not necessary if you have voted at a given polling place previously but it is always a good thing to take to the polls.
* If you are supporting a certain candidate (even if they are not on the ballot at the given polling place) make sure you are not wearing any form of campaign paraphernalia (buttons, stickers, shirts, etc).
* If you are ON LINE at a polling place prior to 9pm, when the polls close, you are entitled to cast your ballot even after 9pm.
* IF YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR POLLING PLACE AND YOU DO NOT FIND YOURSELF IN THE ROLL, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A PAPER BALLOT.

If you run into any issues regarding the prevention of student voting, please contact one of the local campaigns and report it immediately or contact your CDNY Regional Chair who can put you in contact with one of the area campaign teams. This is extremely important, especially in local elections where a handful of voting college students can change the outcome of an election.
