Obama Takes the Campaign to the People

Yesterday President Obama brought his fight to pass the stimulus bill to the people.  After a speech in Elkhart Indiana, a town that has more than twice the national average of unemployment.  Then last night the President addressed the American people to talk to them about the gravity of the situation. Today, President Obama will be in Fort Myers Florida, the city that has the highest foreclosure rate in the country. All of this comes at a time when the latest Gallup poll stated:
The new Gallup Poll shows that a majority of Americans (51%) say passing a new economic stimulus plan is "critically important" for improving the nation's economy, while another 29% say it is important. Only 16% say it is "not that important."
When Obama goes to Florida today, he will be accompanied by popular Republican Governor Charlie Crist, a supporter of the stimulus bill.
