Respect the Youth Vote

There's one last day to register in New York, so for those of you that are procrastinating, get your registrations today! (And, if you still need to fill out a registration form, http://VoteForChange.com is the place to go to get one). But registering to vote is only the first step in the process. You can also request an absentee ballot, confirm your voter registration went through, and you still have to vote on November 4th. It can get a little complicate, and there is a lot of misinformation about the voting process out there. To simplify this process as much as possible, as well as to counter targeted attempts to confuse and intimidate student voters, the College Democrats of America have launched a new site, http://respecttheyouthvote.com/ . It's an easy site to navigate, and presents answers to common questions in a very understandable way. If you're a first time voter, I highly recommend you taking a few seconds to check it out: it'll show you where to find out that you've voter application has been processed, if you need ID at the polling place, when the polls are open, and how to find your polling place! ~ John is the New Media Director for CDNY, and hopes everyone visits http://respecttheyouthvote.com/
